Mental health is a critical aspect of everyone’s overall wellbeing. As a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, my hope is to help any adolescent or adult who is seeking to overcome the obstacles they face, inside and out, to get on-track for a values-driven life.

Before becoming a counselor, I was a social studies teacher, a corporate trainer, and a recruiter. I have also developed a variety of counseling competencies, especially in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders, during my clinical training at Sheppard Pratt. A common theme in each of these positions was that my success was measured by the positive impacts I could impart on others, an aspect I find very rewarding.

As a proponent of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I explore with clients how thoughts, feelings, and actions are often interconnected, helping them foster new perspectives and skills to better understand those connections. Related modalities like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) are frequently included in my approach when treating OCD, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder (SAD), body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), major depressive disorder (MDD), panic disorder, and other diagnoses.

As a professional counselor, I hold my Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) credential in Maryland and my National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I am also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Maryland Counseling Association (MCA), and the counseling honor society named Chi Sigma Iota.

When I’m taking time away from supporting clients, you will likely find me writing, recording, and mixing music; exploring new restaurants; photographing pretty cars; and spending time with family, friends, and my dog.
