Psychotherapy

CBT Baltimore provides clinical therapy to individuals and support services to other clinicians, physicians, and health professionals.

Our Psychotherapy Options

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is not the only type of theory we use when working with our clients, but it is the foundation of our therapy practice.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy where a group of people meet weekly, sometimes more frequently, with one or more therapists.

OCD Treatment

With the help of a mental health professional, you can live the happy, healthy life you deserve.

Parenting Support & Training

We offer parent support and training because we believe that you play a pivotal role in your child’s treatment.

Exposure Therapy

Exposure therapy helps people confront their fears by breaking the pattern of safety behaviors and avoidance.

Intensive Options

Intensive treatment options are useful for jump-starting the progress of a patient who has reached a frustrating plateau in treatment,

Out-of-Office Sessions

To create maximum gain when doing exposure work it is best to undergo treatment in an environment that is real for the client.

Telehealth

We utilize an online platform that is easy to navigate, has a clear connection and maintains the standards of privacy outlined by HIPAA.

What is the role of a therapist? The therapist’s job is to create a space that is comfortable and safe enough for a client to open up in and allow themselves to be vulnerable. It is a challenge for most of us to peel away the layers and share. It is not the clinician's job to be magicians or advice givers that make problems disappear. They hope to be the messenger that enables the client to be their own vehicle of change.

Shmuel Fischler, LCSW-C, Director

I take pride in transparency and authenticity in my practice. We have to be real in order to help people. Being disingenuous and patronizing will come back to bite the clinician. We invite brutally honest feedback from clients.
