Katie is joining the CBT Baltimore team as a graduate-level intern from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Her clinical interests include obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, and other related disorders. Katie’s therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral and acceptance-based theories. She values the collaborative nature of therapy, and emphasizes building a trusting therapeutic relationship through authenticity, acceptance, and compassion.

Katie graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2019, and is working towards a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Shippensburg. She is also a research assistant at Penn State, where she studies anxiety and depression. Katie is a student member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), and American Counseling Association (ACA).
