To create maximum gain when doing exposure work it is best to undergo treatment in an environment that is real for the client.
One purpose of exposures is an opportunity to learn, or re-learn, the client’s relationship with uncertainty that lives around us. Therefore, creating exposures that are as close to real-life as possible, often outside the office, lends itself to a richer and more relatable learning experience that will go home with the client.
