Yisrael holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins University. His experience includes treating varied populations, ages, communities, and presenting problems in the outpatient mental health setting. Additionally, Yisrael has provided educational and emotional support in multiple school and summer camp settings to children and adolescents while collaborating with parents, staff, administration, and other professionals where appropriate.
Yisrael is passionate about his work in the mental health field and specializes in anxiety disorders. His clients include children, adolescents, and adults. Yisrael utilizes CBT (cognitive-behavioral) strategies to reduce and manage mental health symptoms and uses techniques from ACT (acceptance and commitment) and DBT (dialectical-behavioral) such as acceptance and mindfulness tools to assist emotional management, mood regulation, and stress tolerance. He embraces a strengths-based model focusing on client education, empowerment, and independence, and encourages celebrating growth and accomplishment.
