Mimi Thomas


Mimi Thomas, LCSW-C, has been in practice since 1991.  She received her Master’s degree at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, and her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Towson University. She provides treatment for individuals, couples, including gay and lesbians, families, and premarital counseling.

Ms. Thomas has extensive experience in treating many anxiety disorders, such as agoraphobia, panic, post traumatic stress, phobias, and generalized anxiety.  Her extensive experience also includes helping patients cope with grief and loss, death and dying, and end of life issues.  Other specialties include mood disorders, women’s issues, geriatrics, stress management, pain management and treatment for habitual behaviors.

Ms. Thomas was employed in an inpatient hospice unit for four years as a clinician and had an internship on an inpatient cancer unit at the University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore.
